Shooting headshots in Sydney
Almost every premium Sydney venue trades on harbour, bridge or Opera House views, and that shapes portrait work more than people expect. Bright water bounce and constant indoor-outdoor mixing mean an uncontrolled booth drifts in colour across a day — so we light for consistency first and use the view as an option, not a default.
The upside is location. Barangaroo, Martin Place and Circular Quay floors sit minutes apart on the Metro, so a leadership session in the CBD and a delegate booth at ICC Darling Harbour can run on the same crew call. Parking is the expensive part of Sydney logistics, not the photography — we load in by trolley and let the light rail do the rest.

Logistics, the Sydney version
Transport & access
Sydney Airport is only 8km from the CBD (15 minutes to most venues). Light Rail connects Central to ICC Sydney and Pyrmont, and the new Metro links Barangaroo, Martin Place and North Sydney. Parking is expensive ($40–80/day in the CBD), so we plan load-in around building docks rather than street parking.
Peak season
February–May and September–November are Sydney's dense corporate windows, and Vivid and the spring conference run tighten crew availability. Lock a headshot day six weeks out if it sits either side of an event.
What we need on site
Three metres by three metres and a power point. Tower load-in runs through the dock with a booking and induction — send us the requirements and we'll handle the paperwork.
